В ночь с 1 на 2 января жители разных уголков Земли смогли наблюдать одно из красивейших небесных явлений — суперлуние. Это зрелищное астрономическое явление происходит в момент наибольшего сближения Луны с нашей планетой.

The supermoon is seen as it rises on Dec. 3, 2017 in Washington, DC. This full moon was the first of three consecutive supermoons, with the other two occurring on Jan. 1 and Jan. 31, 2018. 2017 was a year filled with both visual splendor and obvious evocations of climate change. Hurricanes, floods, droughts, and more caused enormous damage everywhere from Puerto Rico to India, creating global scenes of despair. Ранее Лайф сообщал, что на новогодних каникулах спутник приблизится к Земле и будет выглядеть на 14% больше и на 30% ярче, чем при прохождении самой удалённой точки.
